Quality Control
We own and operate our own manufacturing facility for better quality control.

Durability
Our shredder is time proven, with shredders performing at original factory specs after having shred over 250,000,000 tires.

Flexibility
Custom configurations available, whether the need be for primary shreds, TDF, or granules for TDP, we make the reduction and handling equipment to fit the job.  Portable or stationary models are available.

Usable End Product
With the cutters changed at proper intervals, our shredder cuts clean, with little or no exposed wire -- perfect for TDF.

Low Cost of Production
Patented feed system for faster material output.

Lower Operating Cost
Patented cutters for lower blade maintenance costs.  Shredding clean tires, we guarantee at least 2,000 tons of primary shreds between sharpenings.

Fast
Capable of shredding an 11x24.5 steel belted radial truck tire every three seconds, we guarantee 20 tons an hour of primary shreds.  For smaller shreds, our production rate still exceeds our competition.  Our optional granule mill can produce up to 5 tons of granules an hour.

Unsurpassed Warranty
The only warranty with a guaranteed production rate.

Tri-C Shredders

Tri-C Machine was started in 1969 by Clyde Lamar.  In 1979 he saw the need for corrugated pipe flangers and tire shredders.  He built the first tire shredder in late 1979- finishing it in 1980, and formed Tri-C Manufacturing, Inc..  Since then he has developed a granulator, wheel crusher, de-beader, and classifier --  all originally designed for shredder-w-classifiertires.

In 1979 there was not a shredder that was designed to size reduce tires. Tires have their own issues in size reduction, not only is there the rubber, but you have also have steel. I like to say “take the sharpest axe you can find and a tire off the rim and see how long it takes you to cut up the tire.” To make the system work Clyde had to design something with close enough tolerances to cut the tire effectively without leaving wire hair protruding from the perimeter of the tire shreds. He did it with the use of special hard steel and a shaft system to make sure there is no flexing to make gaps.

Experience

Tri-C operated a tire shredding operation until it was sold years later.  This gave us a unique opportunity to have hands on experience with running and maintaining the equipment. It also gave us the practical knowledge of operating a tire recycling business with all it’s challenges.

Granulator

Clyde set out to design and manufacture a granulator that was high in production and kept the cost of production low, similar to the thought process he incorporated in to the shredder. His design has produced a granulator that is low maintenance and built to service.

Our granulators have the reputation of producing the finest granules on the market. It’s in the design.
